Purpose
We investigated the intestinal regulation effect of Lion's mane.

Result
Coarse powder of Lion's mane was mixed with the feed and ingested for 2 weeks, and the weight of the contents of the cecal colon was measured. An increase in the weight of the contents of the cecal colon was observed in the lion's mane-administered group compared to the control (normal diet) group.

Consideration
An increase in the weight of the cecal colon contents is seen when dietary fiber is ingested. The reason is that when you ingest dietary fiber, it remains in the intestines undigested and absorbs excess water and other waste products like a sponge sucks water, increasing the volume of stool. We investigated the effect of ingesting Yamabushitake to prevent obesity.

Result
Rats were fed a high-fat diet or a high-fat diet + lion's mane fine powder for 2 weeks, and the body weights were measured after 1 week and 2 weeks.The increase in body weight was suppressed in the Yamabushitake-administered group both 1 week and 2 weeks after the start of administration.

Consideration
From the experimental results, it was considered that the lion's mane has an improved diet (nutrition calories) and can be expected to suppress weight gain.

3.Effect of Yamabushitake on serum triglyceride level

The effect of ingestion of Lion's mane on serum triglyceride level was investigated.

Result
Mice were fed a high-fat diet or a high-fat diet + Yamabushitake fine powder for 4 weeks, and the serum triglyceride level was measured.Mice that ingested the high-fat diet + Yamabushitake fine powder suppressed the increase in triglyceride level as compared with the high-fat diet alone.In addition, the triglyceride level (normal value) of the mice fed with the high-fat diet + Yamabushitake fine powder was suppressed to the same value as that of the mice fed with the normal diet.

From the experimental results, it was considered that Yamabushitake can be expected to have an effect of suppressing the increase of triglyceride.

4.Effect of Yamabushitake on liver function

We investigated the effect of ingestion of Yamabushitake on liver function.

Result
Mice were administered a high-fat or high-fat diet + Yamabushitake fine powder for 2 weeks, and the serum GOT level was measured.Mice treated with a high-fat diet + Yamabushitake fine powder suppressed the increase in serum GOT level as compared with the high-fat diet alone.

From the experimental results, it was considered that Yamabushitake can be expected to improve liver function.
